Humpback Sunset-Stargaze-Moonwatch-Sunrise Camping Trip!

OVERVIEW

Hey Everyone!

I’m leading a camping trip to Humpback Rocks and would love for you to join! We’re supposed to have clear skies and I want to get a good look at the sky. We will get a great view of the Sunset, the Stars/Full Moon (I’m bringing my Telescope), and then the Sunrise the next morning!

The plan is to meet at 1pm and leave Charlottesville by 1:30pm (after the big club gear sale), get to the top by 3pm and set up camp. We will head back down the mountain shortly after the Sunrise; around 8am. This should get us back by 9:30am.

What you need:
-Backpacking pack
-Tent (plan to bring one, but we can consolidate when we meet up)
-Sleeping bag rated for ~20F (it’s supposed to be between 25-35F)
-Warm clothes
-Sturdy shoes
-2L of water (at least)
-Dinner/breakfast/snacks
-Sunglasses (to fully enjoy the sunset/sunrise)

DRIVER NEEDED!
-I can only take 4 people until we have more drivers!
-drivers get priority off the waitlist. The club reimburses for gas +50% tip!
-drivers need to show up to Echols with a full tank of gas!
