Humpday Humpback

OVERVIEW

I have not led a humpback hike yet and I’m ready for some hiking, so let’s hike Humpback Rock! This is a classic hike and ends with a great view overlooking the blue ridge mountains. Priority will be given to people who have not hiked Humpback yet.

The plan:
5:30 am – leave from Echols
6:00 – arrive at the trailhead
7:06 – watch the sunrise (Ooooo pretty…)
8:00 – back at the car
8:30 – arrive at Echols or wherever you want to get dropped off

What to bring:
– water
– headlamp or flashlight
– layers (it will be very cold and windy at the top)
– snacks

I will bring:
– car
– mega flashlight
