I will teach you how to ski for free (beginner skiing at massanutten)

OVERVIEW

OK guys, this is a cool one. I’ve wanted to post this for awhile now, and if you ever wanted to learn how to ski, this is it, as I am in a position to get everyone free lift tickets and ski rentals, and I was a ski instructor in the past.

The plan is to visit the ski resort of my homelands, Massanutten, VA on a quiet, probably not busy Thursday where I will teach you how to ski.

What I will bring:
– Ski, boots, and helmet rentals
– 98% chance I can get them for free because of my job, I will let you know if that changes

What you should bring:
– Snow clothes
– Non cotton pants and snow pants
– Layers, ski jacket
– ONE PAIR of (preferably) merino wool infused socks
– Positive attitude
– Money for terrible ski lodge food 😀

Because this trip is over break, the logistics will be challenging. I likely cannot pick anyone up as I live very close to Massanutten, so drivers will be absolutely necessary. Priority will be given to a group in the event that they live in a line from the driver’s place to Massanutten. For example, if we get a driver from Norfolk, a non driver from Newport News, and another from Richmond, they all would get priority over someone who can’t drive from NOVA. This may be a trip where the first few people on the waitlist will not be able to come due to where they live and whether or not they can drive.

We will work out more specific logistics once the group is set. It will probably be an early morning :D. Also if the weather or conditions really suck we might have to reschedule.
