i’m walking on the sun(day)shine WOAH OH!

OVERVIEW

as a fourth year student i’ve made the commitment to myself that i can’t spend a full day of the weekend dedicated to school work. this sunday i have no fun festivities planned, which leaves too much time for the textbooks, so i’m calling on you outdoors folks to join me in taking a break & watching the sun set over shenandoah.

if you haven’t done hawksbill already, you’re in for a treat! it’s a quick hike that leads to the tallest peak in SNP & killer 360 view. it’s only ~1.5 miles, but definitely is a little steep, for more details visit https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/hawksbill-summit

the plan:
5 PM depart from echols
615 bop on up
715 a delightful sunset picnic
730 bop on down
930 return to echols (at the latest)

to bring:
– water
– packed dinner and/or snacks
– sturdy hiking shoes
– musical instrument if you are skilled to serenade
– would love to have a dog(s) accompanying us
– headlamp for hike down
– SNP park pass (I have 1)
