Incredible Southeast Climbing!

OVERVIEW

Areas around Chattanooga boast tons of awesome climbing. Come see why Chattanooga was ranked in Outside Magazine’s top 10 places to live! This is where I’m from and where I learned to climb, and I’m in love with the place. There are many different places we can go (we’ll probably pick a different one each day). Sunset and Tennessee Wall both have a lot of trad routes and Leda and Foster Falls both have full days (weeks!) of sport routes. The areas are gorgeous. Most places are up on mountains and some have full views of the Tennessee River below. In the chance of rain we’ll hit up one of the local climbing gyms and check out things downtown if people want. To come on the trip, you must know how to belay and must have some experience climbing. Email me if you wanna know if you should come! We’ll get there late Friday night, climb all day Saturday and Sunday, and head back to C’Ville after climbing in the morning on Monday.

My parents moved to a new place last winter, and our old house is still for sale, so there’s a chance we’ll sleep there one night depending on where we’re climbing (it’s 20 min. from several places to climb).

You should bring: climbing/camping gear if you have it, warm clothes, rain gear, money for food if you eat a lot and will go over the club’s food limit, money in case it rains and we go to a climbing gym or see a movie or something like that
