OVERVIEW

So we tried to do this trip back in February but bike issues and weather had different plans for us. Now that I’m feeling good enough to commit to a ride like this, here we are trying our chances again.

Heyward has some INCREDIBLE trails, plenty of which are new. When Max^2 showed me all these trails, I was opened to a whole new world of local riding. As a disclaimer, this is not an intermediate trip as some of these trails are more so on the intermediate-advanced side. Some trails have small mandatory drops (peep my incredible (not) form in the trip picture) and gaps that are mostly rollable. Being more than comfortable on intermediate trips is ideal for this ride but if you have any questions please reach out (you can find our numbers on our profiles).

We’re hoping for this trip to be on the longer end for a local ride, roughly 12 miles 2000 feet (a small portion of which will be on the road), so keep that in mind.

If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let us know on the trip questionnaire and we’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet. Currently somewhat limited on bikes but we’ll do our best!

You bring:
– Water: 2-3L
– Food: snacks and even a lunch?
– Appropriate clothing/footwear
– Gloves are recommended for keeping the fingers working in the cold and protecting your hands from scrapes if you fall – $10 Mechanix work gloves are great
– A bag to carry your water and food: the club has some daypacks if you need one (let us know in the questionnaire)

What we bring:
– Bikes
– Helmets

Schedule:
1pm – meet at shrack and grab bikes
1:15pm – bike bike bike
3:30pm – return to shrack and put up bikes

**As always, the schedule is tentative on how the group feels and remember to text us with questions**
