INT/ADV Whitewater Kayaking – Lower Big Sandy and also some INT Sport Climbing

OVERVIEW

Big Sandy is running!! Let’s go paddle some waterfalls! Wonder falls on LBS is sick, it’s like a 20 footer but it’s super super clean, perfect for tricks or learning to paddle waterfalls.

They say this is a class V run (https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/view/river-detail/2331/main), I think one of the rapids probably fits into that rating but it is kind of a remote run so you must have class IV+ skills and experience to go on this trip, let me know if you have any questions about this. It’s also going to be pretty freaking cold so that’ll make things a bit more fun!

I also want to climb on the way back at Smoke Hole Canyon, should be chill but I’ve never been there before. Would be sick if you knew how to do this too.

What to bring:
Your paddling gear/cold gear
Climbing stuff
Camping stuff

Timeline:
Leave on Friday night or something, we can figure it out
Paddle Saturday morning with some of my friends from high school
Climb on the way back
Back on Saturday by like 8pm or so probably
