Looks like we will be able to squeeze in another great weekend of climbing at the New. The weather is supposed to be around 60 deg F high for Fri-Sun.

I am thinking Whipporwill, the Lake (Pirate’s Cove), and Endless but they are subject to change.

We will leave Thursday at 8pm and drive 3.5 hrs to WV. There will be a second departure time (most likely on Friday night) for those who cannot leave on Thursday night. Breakfasts and lunches will be provided but we will be eating out for dinners. We are camping at Ray’s with hot showers. Expect to be back on Sunday around 9-10pm.

Club pays for gas, camping, and food. But bring extra snacks and money.

I will be available to teach a few of you how to lead climb and belay. You can also review skills that you know.

Trip Requirements: Know how to tie in and belay a top rope. Able to climb 5.10 solid on top rope. Feel free to sign up and email me if you are unsure.

You provide: Plenty of water, personal climbing gear you own, money, backpack, warm clothes (chilly in the mountains, expect below freezing at night), towel, toiletries, headlamp, first aid kit, tent, warm sleeping bag, sleeping pad, approach shoes, camera, and good karma.

Club Provides: Ga$ money for drivers or ride in a car, any camping/climbing gear you do not own, camping, food, and exciting outdoor adventure.

If you need any gear, you need to go get them yourself from the gear room on Tuesday or Thursday.

Drivers and lead climbers/belayers get priority.
