Let’s go kayaking! The Maury is a sweet Class III-IV run near Lexington, VA. It’s in a beautiful area of Virgina, and the whitewater is lots of fun!
To come on this trip you need to have a solid roll and solid boat control in class III water. You must have paddled the Lower James or equivalent at least once without incident. If you have questions about your ability to do this run, email me!
The water will be cold, so be prepared. The club has cold water gear if you need it, but you need to email Dave Clark about what you need and be responsible for picking up what you need.
This trip is very weather and water level dependent…if we don’t have enough water to paddle Goshen, we may go somewhere else.
You provide: kayaking and cold water gear you have it, warm clothes and towel for after, water, lunch, snack food
Club provides: gas $$, kayaking/cold water gear if you need it.
