Its a new semester, let’s go kayaking!
We’ll most likely go to the Lower James through Richmond, a short, Class III run with some fun play spots, or possible the Maury or Tye if we get any rain, both class III-IV. Or somewhere else entirely. Lots of options!
You must have a solid roll and good boat control to come on this trip, as we will be running at least class III. PLEASE do not sign up if this is not you. I ask this for safety reasons: cold water + cold air = unforgiving conditions.
You provide: kayaking gear, cold water gear, lunch/snacks, towel, warm dry clothes for after, bathing suit/clothes that can get wet, non-cotton layers, river shoes (closed toe preferable), id/money for food afterward
Club provides: gas $$, kayaking and cold weather gear if you need it.
