Happy Spring!
Let’s shred some serious singletrack on Saturday! Sherando has some of the best trail systems in the region making it a fantastic mountain biking spot! With some super brutal climbs, gnarly rock gardens, ample creek crossings, gorgeous vistas and most importantly, sweet sweet downhills, this route is one of my favorites around.
We’ll be taking a loop that is 15-20 miles in length, so come well-fed and hydrated and bring AT LEAST a 20oz bottle (Camelback if you have one) for the ride and 2 or 3 Powerbar-type snacks. Wear athletic clothing, shades, helmet if you have one, and big ol’ smile because this is going to be great. Also bring money because we may decide to make a post-ride dinner initiative and you don’t want to be THAT kid.
Additionally, this is not a trip intended for beginners. You should have some experience on intermediate terrain and be in good shape. That said, this trip is a great way for those of you who have been all over Walnut and O-Hill to hit the next level :).
As is usual for such trips, I’ll put everyone on the waitlist until drivers with people and cargo spots sign up. And of course, the club provides rides, gas, totally rad bikes, and helmets. Rocknroll!
