It’s me, the shred doctor. I’m here to give you all a shredsciption to partake in the indulgence of some massive doses of essential shredibiotics this Saturday.

We’ll meet at the side entrance of the Echols dorm (closest to O’Hill) to load up the bikes and roll out at around 8am. Estimated arrival at the trailhead is around 9:15am – we’ll begin our conquest of the trails promptly.

The 13 mile Narrowback Mountain Loop is one of the most popular trails in the state, with a mythical descent crafted by the mystical shredlords of the universe. A description of the ride can be found here:

Please do NOT sign up unless you have a good amount of mountain biking experience (intermediate level and beyond) and are in decent shape. There will be several stops to collect the group and let everyone rest, and we will stop for lunch at some point too.

Estimated trail completion time is 2.5-3 hours.
Estimated Charlottesville return time: 2:00pm

If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let me know on the trip questionnaire and I’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet. Everyone will be waitlisted for this trip initially and depending on club bike availability and skill level, individuals will be taken off the waitlist accordingly. Me and Ashe ‘the shredbeast’ Allende have room for 7 bikes on our cars, so this adventure will be capped at 7 people.

What to Bring:
– Daypack
– Mountain Bike (if you have it)
– Helmet (if you have it)
– 4L of Water
– Lunch + Snacks
