OVERVIEW

The Sherando lake trail loop is probably one of the most exciting mountain bike rides around. Lots of climbing in the beginning, but then you get the reward of a sweet five mile downhill. For people who are craving a change of scene from O-hill and Walnut, this is a great ride.

You need to have some amount of experience with biking – the trails are extremely rocky in places, and there is one brutal climb and the ride is about 16 miles. That having been said, we’re going to take it easy on this ride, no one gets left behind.

I can hold 4 bikes in my car (two on top and two in back), but thats a stretch, so at this point I’m looking for a second driver. If I do get a second driver, I’m looking to take between 3 and 7 people total. Email me if you do have a car and can drive.

Bring lots of water and a snack. I’ll bring some spare tubes and tools, but if someone else has a tube or two, that’d be good. We will meet at 12:30 at the Echols wall. We should be back long before 6, but no promises.
