Intermediate/Advanced Whitewater Kayaking on the Yough

OVERVIEW

The Yough is releasing Friday-Saturday!

We’ll have advanced crews running the Upper Yough Friday and Satuday, and the Lower Yough as an intermediate option Friday, Satuday, and Sunday. You must have paddled class 3 whitewater if you’d like to come on the Lower Yough, as it won’t be guided and you will be responsible for your own safety. If you’re a highly motivated intermediate kayaker, shoot me an email and we can discuss options!
*other river options may open up depending on levels and who’s going where.

SCHEDULE:
I plan on leaving Friday evening around 5, but we’ll have one car for anyone interested in heading up Friday morning to catch the Friday release. The current plan is to return Sunday, after possibly kayaking the Lower Yough or the Cheat (I’m fairly flexible here) Other activities are welcome.

CAMPING:
We will either stay at Piney Mtn., near the Yough, or Cheat Canyon. Camping is not reimbursed by the club over the summer so bring cash, $5 a night for Cheat Canyon.

FOOD: Bring your own!

SKILL / LEGAL STUFF:
Intermediate/Advanced paddlers only. Email me if you have questions about your ability to paddle these runs.

I am NOT “leading” any river trips, I am only coordinating some transportation for this event. YOU are responsible for your own safety and the activities you choose to participate in while on this trip.
