Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
New River Gorge
Edits!!! Change of plan!!!
I recently discovered that we do actually have class Labor Day. Major bummer. So.
Let’s spend labor day weekend doing some labor on dem beautiful *West Virginia* rocks.
Plan: Leave as early as possible Friday 8/29 depending on work and class schedules. Personally, I would like to leave at or before 9am. There is a possibility that we will be able to have two cars go to accommodate those who might need to leave later.
When we arrive, we’ll climb all day Friday and then camp at Ray’s. Repeat that on Saturday as well, then climb Sunday and head back to Charlottesville to be home by Sunday night. Deal? Deal.
I can get climbing equipment for the group, including ropes, draws, slings, personal gear, what-have-you, but do bring whatever you have.
I’m also restricting this trip to people with good climbing experience for the sake of time and distance. 5.10 and up clean please!
What’s on you:
-any gear you might have
-food and/or money for food
-water (2 or more liters)
-good approach shoes and pack
-raingear (report looks a little iffy)
What’s on the club:
-camping (up to $10 per night per person)
-gas
-any gear you might need
Fee is just a general estimate, but simply be prepared to cover your own food and any extra camping fees there may be above $10 per night per person.
Peace.
