Intermediate Climbing @ Buzzard Rock (w/ burgie???)

I wrote a whole trip description and it was awesome but it disappeared and now I don’t feel like writing another one so this is going to be brief.

This saturday, im going to buzzard rock (https://www.mountainproject.com/area/106152557/buzzard-rocks).

Routes are under 5.11, basically entirely runout slab, and get as high as 90 ft. Very good stuff. Probably my favorite in VA.

You are invited to come, BUT, this is an intermediate trip so i will be prioritizing people with the following:
– Lead belaying experience
– lead climbing experience
– know how to clean routes experience

Depending on how the waitlist looks, I might let someone with sufficient top rope experience on to maybe get a little lead intro, BUT, this is a sport climbing trip, so that’s what I will be prioritizing.

There is a 2 mile approach on the Buzzard Rock Trail. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s a chill hike.

After we climb, there is a burger spot nearby that will serve you one of the best burgers you have ever had, and I would like to go after we climb. It’s called “spelunkers”.
