OVERVIEW

Hi Everyone,

I’m Alan, for those of you I haven’t met yet my background is mostly skiing based, but with some experience mountain biking at Snowshoe a few years ago, I decided to pick up daily mountain biking over the summer and its been an absolute blast. Since then I’ve ripped a ton of Ohill trails and Max and I are so stoked to share them with you all.

Since this trip is listed as intermediate, we are not going to be teaching the absolute basics as much as we would on a beginner trip. This trip is targeted for people who have been on around at least 2-3 trips or at a minimum feel comfortable on the beginner trails we go through on beginner trips and want to try the intermediate trails, if you’re concerned about those targets just let us know what you’re experience with mtb is in the questionnaire and we’ll get back to you. That being said we can totally help you get through these trails, its not just a free for all, if there are areas you are struggling with throughout the trip we can definitely give some tips on how to get through those areas. At the end of the day, mtb and downhill sports in general are all about helping each other improve and have more fun.

If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let me know on the trip questionnaire and we’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet. Everyone will be waitlisted for this trip initially and depending on bike availability individuals will be taken off the wait list accordingly.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at 434-270-1818.

What you need:
– Water (Either a bottle that will fit in a bottle cage, or bring a small backpack/hip pack to hold it)
– Gloves (optional)
– Closed-toe shoes
– Weather appropriate clothing

What the club will provide:
– Bikes
– Helmets

The plan:
5:30pm- meet at the shred shack a grab a bike for everyone
6:00pm- Ride up O-hill
7:45pm- back at the shred shack to clean up the bikes

The timing here is pretty flexible to how people are feeling, if people want to head back earlier or later we can figure that out during the trip.
