Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
The plan is to go mountain biking up at Sherando Lake. It’s a pretty epic trail, yo. The ride is comprised of a 21 mile loop with a couple thousand feet of elevation gain, a killer switchback section, and awesome views. You should only sign up if you’ve done some trail riding in the past, and are the type of person who would take the stairs even if an elevator is available. It will definately be demanding, but we will take frequent breaks…
I am setting the trip time from 9:00 to 5:00, in honor of – or actually in defiance of – Work, which lurks like a greedy goblin at the eventual end of all happy go lucky college days… I mean, there’s a good chance we’ll be back before 5:00!
The Club provides: bikes and helmets if you need ’em, ride in a car
You provide: lots of water; carb-chargin snack foods; appropriate clothes (its supposed to be chilly but clear, so dress with the climate in mind. No Baggy Pants! as the bike chains will eat them and you will be left naked in the woods.)
