Intermediate Three Ridges Day Hike Yippeee!

OVERVIEW

*Note: This will be my first run of this specific trail.

Hi All!

What better way to spend your Sunday than day hiking a trail commonly done over 2 days? This is a 14.8-mile loop with 3,900 ft of elevation gain, so it will be VERY exhausting. This trail is renowned for its Appalachian Trail vistas and waterfalls along the Mau-Har Trail with great foliage this time of the year, so it should be beautiful! The hike should take us UPWARDS of 7 hours as a group, taking short stops if needed for rests and pics. I hope to see you there!

I will be picking everyone up from the corner of Echols dorm, so no transportation is needed.

Please make sure to bring EVERYTHING mentioned in the list. You can borrow a Headlamp from the gear room if you don’t have one. If you need me to bring you one, please let me know beforehand!! Text me with any concerns before the trip (504) 326-8706.

What to bring:
– At least 2L of water
– Headlamp!!!!!!
– Plenty of Snacks
– A small backpack to place them in
– Decent boots or trail runners
– Winter Clothing!!!!
– A love for the trail

Timeline:
9:00 am – Pick Up n drive
10:00 am – Park at Trail and get started
6:00 pm – Finish Hike and drive back
7:00 pm – Land back at Echols or wherever u need to be dropped off at
