Intermediate White Water Kayaking – James Through Richmond

OVERVIEW

I love to start the new year right with a day on the river. Join me on Jan 1 in a quest to work off the hang over and celebrate the new year with James on a float trip through Richmond. The James through Richmond is typically a class 2-3 run, but is more challenging this time of year because of the cold water and chilly air temps. As such, you must have plenty of class 3 experience, and a decent combat roll to join. The club has all of the cold weather paddling gear you need, including wetsuits, dry tops, hoods, booties, gloves, and of course, boats, skirts, pfds, helmets, and paddles. You need to provide several non-cotton layers, swimwear, a towel, and warm fuzzy clothes to change into after the trip. Please call or email me with questions: 962-9737 or dclark@virginia.edu.
