Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Goshen Pass
The Maury has water, so lets head there and get a couple of late afternoon/evening laps in on Virginia’s probably most classic whitewater run: Goshen Pass.
I’ll email an updated departure location depending on who signs up, else assume echols.
Prerequisites:
This is an intermediate*2 trip, so you must have been on lots of beginner level or (higher) river runs previously for us all to have an enjoyable day on the river.
A reliable flat water roll is a must, but preferably you should bring a combat roll and/or supreme river reading or bracing skills so that you don’t have to roll!
I’ll be wait-listing everyone till I screen your skills.
Club provides:
Ride in a vehicle, and any whitewater gear you need – HOWEVER chances are I WON’T have time to make a trip to Dave C’s house in-between work and the trip departure on Thursday – so sign up early so that I can get gear from him late wed, or early on Thursday.
You provide:
Bathing suit, towel, layers if you get cold and/or plan to swim a lot.
Times:
The Departure time is when I personally plan to leave Cville as I’m indisposed earlier in the day, however some may be heading there for an earlier start and additional laps – indicate what time you’re free to leave.
Trip may be canceled for unfavorable river conditions – but so far it’s looking good!
