“I highly recommend it, if you have the means.” -Ferris Beuller
All skill levels are welcome on this trip, but you will get more out of it if you’ve been climbing at least once before (indoors counts). We won’t have a set curriculum, but rather Anna and I will tailor the workshop loosely to whatever you folks need to learn next (i.e. toprope, lead climbing, rappelling, anchor cleaning, etc).
THE PLAN:
Depart from Shred Shack 8am
Arrive at Manchester Wall 9:30
Learn, climb, and hang out at the wall (a primo-quality hangout spot) until3-4pm
Head back to Cville to be home by 6
You need:
-Lunch
-Water
-Layers (we’ll be in the shade most of the day, and it can get chilly when you’re not climbing; high of 55)
I Bring:
-Harnesses, Shoes, Belay Devices, Ropes, etc – but feel free to bring your own if you have them
-da skillz
-Anna
Climbing is dangerous and you could get hurt. We’ll follow all common safety practices, but the main thing is that you arrive with the right attitude about safety. Please be ready to learn and listen if Anna or I tell you to do something. We reserve the right to “ground” anyone we deem to be acting in an unsafe or irresponsible manner.
