Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Blue Ridge Mountain Sports
Ever stop in the middle of your run to examine those animal tracks in
the muddy spot on the trail? Do you wonder what creatures are roaming your sandy stream banks or trotting through the snow? Whether you are a hunter, an environmentalist or just a person curious about the secret lives of animals around you, come out to get a hands-on download of the basics of clear-print wildlife tracking. Local outdoor educator and tracker Erin Campbell studied tracking with the Wilderness Awareness School in the Pacific Northwest for three years, and most recently with forester, conservationist and wildlife tracker
Sue Morse of Jericho, Vermont. Erin will give us a tactile learning
experience through her extensive collection of plaster casts of tracks
that she has found on sand dunes, in the desert, under bridges and
by the river side. Come out and let’s have some fun with tracks!
Let’s meet Thursday at 6pm at Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
and car-pool to the Blue Ridge Mountain Sports
Shop at Stonefield.
