Kayak Roll Class at Walnut Creekathon

OVERVIEW

Come out for the Walnut Creekathon and learn to roll a white water kayak. No prior experience necessary. We’ll do some wet exits, a bit of T-rescueing, and try some Eskimo rolling before downing burgers, dogs, and/or veggies. If you sign up for this please sign up for the creekathon as well so that Lila will have an accurate tally and know how much food to bring. The plan is to meet at Echols at 4:30, get to the park at 5, and roll for a bit while we wait for the rest of the creekathoners to arrive. If you are already signed up for the creekathon and are need to meet at Echols at the 5 O’clock time slot, you can hop in a boat when you get to the park. There will be time near the end of the event for anyone to give rolling a try. I will not return to C’ville after the gig, so will need drivers for this. To make sure this can work, I will put everyones name on the waitlist and add first-come-first-serve after the first driver signs up.

I’ll bring boats and gear. Please bring your swimwear, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, and food for the creekathon (and please sign up for it).
