Kayak Roll Practice

OVERVIEW

Guess what else you can do with rocks besides climb them? You can also ride fluffy clouds of whitewater goodness around and over them!
But to maximize your enjoyment of these fluffy clouds of whitewater goodness, a solid roll is highly recommended!

Where do you get one of those? Well you start by coming on this trip to the Sweet Briar College swimming pool, as they have opened up their pool for kayak roll practice on the second and fourth Wednesday night of the month.
Next session is on April 13th from 7:30 to 9:00PM.

The semester is coming to an end, so there will only be 1 or 2 more of these sessions, so don’t miss out!

The cost for a session is $10.00, which you are responsible for paying.
You may bring your own personal gear, but make sure it is clean, remove any float bags from the boat and wash it out. I plan on taking any of the 3 or 4 of the club’s boats and gear to these sessions. OR you may use Sweet Briar’s gear.

The trip is limited by Sweet Briar to 5 people, I can fit all 5 bodies and boats in my vehicle.

Club provides gas money, you provide bathing suit, towel, water, snack, $10.00 in cash.

On your first attendance each semester you must bring proof of medical insurance and be prepared to sign a liability wavier.

You must also be proficient at wet exiting, and for liability purposes – you may be requested to demonstrate these skills to the people at Sweet Briar your first time there.
