Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia, Worrell Drive, Charlottesville, VA, USA
HELLO GREMLINS!
Drivers needed! You’ll get priority off the waitlist, but no reimbursement as the trip is under 15 miles away.
got a cool lil trip for you. have you heard of the Kluge-Ruhe? no? darn. basically it’s a UVA art museum for Aboriginal art. The idea of this trip is to go to the Kluge-Ruhe, get a quick tour and appreciate the art, then go into nature and reflect on it with our own forms of creativity.
here’s the museum website, check it out: https://kluge-ruhe.org/
the plan is as such:
– we’ll meet at 10 outside echols. this is a hard leave time because we have a tour scheduled. dont be late (looking at myself)
– go to the Kluge-Ruhe. we have a tour from 10:30 to 11:00. if they’re cool with it after the tour we can have some free time to go back to any pieces we particularly appreciated
– after the Kluge we’ll drive to darden towe (it’s pretty close) and walk to a nearby beach.
– here we can reflect on our experiences. i’ll probably journal. Ed will also bring watercolors. do whatever your heart desires. if you have something you want to bring then definitely do so
– return to uva!
notes:
– this is a musuem visit, and we are also appreciating another culture, so it goes without being said but please be respectful. you’re repping odc and uva
– like i said try not to be late
– the musuem is free, but they recommend a 5 dollar donation if you’re able and willing.
what to bring:
– yourself
– writing utensil, something to write on, general creativity supplies you want
– a lunch if you so please for darden towe
