Late Afternoon Hike – Boar’s Head Heritage Trail

OVERVIEW

Let’s take a break from studying – join me for a late afternoon easy hike minutes from Charlottesville: Boar’s Head Inn Heritage Trail. The trail is broad and mostly level with only a few ups and downs. With views of the Birdwood Golf Course off to the side, after passing old cemetery and a few ponds will end up at the boundary off the Ragged Mountain Natural Area . After hiking back we can stop for tea/coffee at the Sports Club Coffee Shop.

Weather is supposed to be sunny, temps in low fifties.

Meet at 3:45pm at Bonnycastle Circle.

Gear: hiking shoes/boots, snacks, hiking poles (optional), water (recommended), headlamp/flashlight, a few $$ for snacks and/or drinks
if we decide to linger on after the hike.
