Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Snowshoe Mountain
Join me for a day trip to the resort for ~6 hours on the slopes. We’ll leave town early to get to the mountain at ~9am (when it opens), get as many runs in as we can, then leave the resort at 3ish to get home at ~6pm.
The conditions are still excellent on the mountain. Despite the local warmth of late winter, the mountains of WV have remained cold, especially at night when the temps are well below freezing to provide long spells of snowblowing. Not to mention Snowshoe is still getting some natural snow, though warm weather is in the forecast for the mountain for the weekend. For more info on the weather/trail conditions check out: http://www.snowshoemtn.com/mountain/win-mountain/snowreport.htm
Please note that the Silver Creek area will be closed (as of Sunday, 3/13).
Value season lift rates will be in effect and will set ya back $59 unless, or course, you have a season pass. If you need to rent, snowboard and ski packages are $31/day.
You should bring your gear, appropriate apparel, your season pass if you have one, money for pass/rental if you need to, snacks, water, pack a lunch or bring money, food/snacks/money/H2O for the ride home.
