Learn to climb at SPRGE!

OVERVIEW

Do you want to learn how to climb with ropes? Have you never done it before?? AWESOME!! Come along for a fun and chill day of climbing at SPRGE! We’re planning to spend the day at Bridge Buttress, which is an awesome crag for newcomers as it has a nice quantity of lower grades (5.5-9). This trip will be prioritizing first-time outdoor climbers and first time NRGE-ers with the exception of 1 or 2 spots being held off for experienced climbers who want practice teaching.

You bring:
– water
– food/ snacks
– layers
– harness
– helmet
– belay device + locking carabiner
– shoes
– chalk

We bring:
– ropes
– draws
– alpines, anchors, that goodness

Timeline:
8:30 am– gather at Ray’s and prepare to head to the crag
9:00 am– leave for Bridge Buttress
9:30 am – 5:00 pm ish — climb, learn, hang out
sometime in early evening we’ll be back at Ray’s

REMINDERS FOR JOINING SPRGE!
Once you are taken off the waitlist for this trip you MUST:
1. Pay the SPRGE fee – Venmo $25 to @parkersims
2. THEN sign up for the MAIN SPRGE CARPOOL
If you can no longer attend, please drop this trip AND the main carpool as soon as you know. This makes planning a lot easier.
