Templeton Prize winner and environmental philosopher, Holmes Rolston will be talking on “Caring for Nature: From Fact to Value, from Respect to Reverence”

Holmes Rolston is University Distinguished Professor of philosophy at Colorado State University. He has written six books, acclaimed in critical notice in both professional journals and national press (see list of books below). Rolstons’ work is internationally renowned having been published in 15 languages. He was distinquished lecturer at the 28th Nobel Conference in 1992, spoke at both the World Congress of Philosophy and Royal Institute of Philosophy conferences in 1993, and delivered the Gifford Lectures at the University of Edinburgh in 1997 and 1998.

Basically, if you are concerned about the environment and how we think about the philosphy behind our treatment of it, this will be really interesting.
