Legends of Pow: Snowshoe Edition (Advanced Skiing/Boarding)

OVERVIEW

Like we all expected the mountain which received the most snow in the US last week was Snowshoe, WV. Wait What!? Snowshoe received 55″ of fresh pow this week, more than any resort in the Rockies or Sierras. Needless to say it would be a sacrilege to Ullr, God of Pow, to not take advantage of this.

We will be departing C’Ville early Saturday AM to beat the Jerry’s to the mountain and to enjoy maximum shred time. Will be coming back whenever they kick us off the mountain or our legs give out. Drive is roughly 3 hours but we might hit snow which will lengthen it.

I can take 2/3 more + equipment in my car but if more drivers sign up more are welcome!

I would prefer everyone who comes on this trip is at least a strong intermediate, I plan to go everywhere on the mountain and would like people to keep up to get maximum shredage. Trees/Glades are definitely part of the plan 😉

Another great thing about going this weekend is the lift ticket price! Snowshoe is in their “Late-season” pricing which means if you buy online tickets are only $35.

What to bring:
Yourself
Skis/Board (I assume you can rent there but am not familiar with the mountain)
HELMET
Warm Clothes (If I have to tell you what to wear skiing this might not be the right trip for you)
Food/water (Unless you like $8 pieces of pizza from a ski resort)
