Humpback Rocks
The Leonids meteor shower will peak around 4:30AM this Tuesday, and it is supposed to be the best show for at least the next 30 years. We will hike up to Humpback Rocks by the light of the full moon and watch the meteors. If you want to see the shower but don’t want to lose that much sleep, check out the related link.
It will be cold, and we will not be doing much to keep warm, so we will want to dress very warmly. I will bring hot stuff to drink and some emergency keep-warm stuff. We can stop somewhere for breakfast on the way back, depending on what people want.
Outdoors at UVa provides:
Hot chocolate and some snacks. Sleeping bags and pads if you want to lie back and look up in style. Packs for toting the stuff.
You must bring:
Money for breakfast if you want to eat.
