Let’s Hike it! a Hike-a-Thon for Rebuilding Dominica

OVERVIEW

Last fall the island of Dominica was nearly destroyed by one of the worst hurricanes to date. While humanitarian aid poured in to provide relief, a group of UVA students decided that far more could be done in response to this natural disaster. UVA Social Enterprise in Dominica fellows are working to develop an island wide venture that will reboot the Dominican economy in a holistic and sustainable way. BUT we need you’re support to see it through. So how can you help? The answer is simple, let’s hike it! Join the fellows by hiking Ragged Mountain Nature Area this Saturday. The fellows have already secured gracious donors that will donate a set amount of money for each person who hikes! It’ll be fun, invigorating, but most of all, impactful.

The plan is to meet at Echols wall at 9:45am to assemble and make it to the start point by 10am to meet up with others participating.
Hike from 10am-12pm and finish just in time to make it to Creek-a-thon!
