Let’s try this again… (Cold mountain day hike)

OVERVIEW

This didn’t work out too well last week because of car-related complications, but this hike is dOpe so I thought we’d give it another try. Priority will be given to the people on the hike last week, but there will still probably be spots left if enough drivers sign up!!

I’ve been on this hike once before. I had fun. You will too. Let’s do it!!

This hike is a chill 5.8 miles with an elevation gain of 1,490 feet. It’s a little longer of a distance than some of the really ease cheese hikes like Bearfence or Blackrock, but it’s not too strenuous and there aren’t very many stretches where you’re going uphill for an extended amount of time, making it also relatively ease cheese. That being said, it might be kinda chilly!! Bundle up! Also bring a bag large enough to hold your layers in case you get hot and decide to stRiP ;).

-Leave the Echols around 9:30 AM
-Drive ~1 hr 30 to the trailhead
-Stomp around for a little while on the mountain. Maybe play cards in the meadow at the top?

-Grab some food if people aren’t too swamped w homework
