Celebrate Liberation and Freedom Day with the Prolyfyck Run Club this Saturday at 7am!

About Prolyfyck: Prolyfyk Run Club is a Black-owned running and walking club with a mission to make running and outdoor spaces more accessible to people of all skill levels. The club is deeply rooted in community and social justice, with a focus on running/walking through historically redlined neighborhoods in Charlottesville to raise awareness and promote inclusivity.Prolyfyk is also dedicated to supporting the local community through various initiatives. The club maintains multiple food and sexual wellness pantries around Charlottesville, ensuring that essential resources are available to those in need. By combining physical wellness with community service, Prolyfyk aims to create positive change both in the world of fitness and within the neighborhoods they run through.

But here’s a synopsis:
8-Mile Run ($40)
4-Mile Walk ($25) –> what i will be doing!
Both races will start at the same time at the African American heritage center & breakfast will be provided post-race

Funds raised will be donated to support Black-owned businesses in Charlottesville, amplifying the voices and contributions of the local community. I will be walking the 4-mile route, so you’re welcome to join me for a fun and relaxed pace!

What to Bring:
Comfortable walking or running shoes
Weather-appropriate clothing
Water bottle
Your amazing energy

Additionally:
Transportation: If you need a ride to and from the African American Heritage Center, I am happy to drive people. Just let me know in advance, and we can coordinate.
Financial Accessibility: If the registration fee is a concern, don’t worry! The fee will be waived upon request—no questions asked. We want everyone to be able to participate regardless of financial situation.
