OVERVIEW

Greetings,

This is where I learned to lead climb for the first time almost a year ago. Since then, I’ve had some of the greatest triumphs as well as the most daunting struggles of my life while climbing (this is not an over exaggeration at all). And I can see myself having many more of these formative experiences through climbing for the rest of my life. So it dawned on me the other day how I got here. It was all because people made an effort and took the tedious time to teach me everything I needed to know to stay safe and succeed. Climbing has been an almost entirely oral learning experience for me and so I realized how crucial it is to pass on what I’ve learned this past year. This trip is meant to help a new generation of climbers get their start and hopefully they will be able to lead their own trip like this one and the cycle will continue.

I bring:
ropes
draws
anchor stuff
belay devices

I need a driver or two and I need one other person who can lead climb/belay/clean routes. Other than that, priority to younger people and to people who are looking to advance their climbing skills. Also, we may be back before 5, depending on how tired we are, but 5 at the latest.
