McAfee Knob day hike for my homies with no Friday classes

OVERVIEW

Hey y’all! Want to get outside and enjoy this beautiful spring weather? ME TOO so I’m thinking we do a classic McAfee Knob hike this Friday! The out-and-back trail is about 8 miles total with 1700 ft of elevation gain, so doable but will definitely be a good workout.

Deetz:
Meet at corner of Echols at 8:30AM
Drive ~2 hours to the trailhead
Hike up the trail and take in the gorgeous views (should take about 4.5 hours with stopping for lunch)
Arrive back in Cville around 5:00PM

What to bring:
– Good shoes for hiking
– 1-2L of Water
– Lunch/snacks

Weather might be slightly chiller than it has been (low 50s + cloudy), so wear some light layers you can take off when you get hot. Drivers are needed and will be prioritized! Reimbursement+tip, as always.
