Student Activities Building Parking Lot
McAfee Knob
Join me on a hike up McAfee Knob for views of the beautiful Catawba Valley and one of the most photogenic shots in the state! McAfee Knob is ~8 miles with ~1700 ft of elevation gain (not to hard, not to long, but still enough to get your blood flowing). The views are spectacular, which is why this is one of the top 10 hikes in VA.
We will meet in the parking lot in front of the Student Activities Building at 12:30, arrive at McAfee around 2:30, hike to the top, take in the views for a bit, make the return journey, and be back in Charlottesville around 8:30pm.
Bring:
– Water
– Snack for the top
– Comfy shoes to hike in
– Good conversation for the car ride
