OVERVIEW

Get excited for the first official service trip of the semester!!! Next Saturday the Nature Conservancy needs your help to clean up one of their local conservation efforts: Meadow Creek! This area has been revitalized through the efforts of some awesome biologists and volunteers, and now it needs YOUR help to keep things rolling. The plan is to pick up some litter that has blown/washed into the creek from the surrounding Charlottesville communities and roadways. Meadow creek is one of my favorite sections of the Rivanna Trail, so it would be awesome to get help to keeping it in tip-top shape!

I managed to grab the last five spots, so we’ll be working right next to some native Charlottesvillians who share the goal of keeping this place clean. This trip might fill up quick, so try to grab a spot as soon as you can, and if you don’t get on this time, keep your ears open for more volunteer opportunities from the Service Committee!

What you should bring:
Boots or closed toed shoes (might be a little muddy depending on weather!)
Long pants (!!!)
Work gloves (they will provide some if you don’t have any)
water
snacks if ya like
a camera if you want to document your Good Samaritan ways
(Other weather- related items if cold or gross outside)

PS:…… Bodo’s just may be provided after the trip 😉
