Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door

Summer is practically here and the trees are luscious + beautiful- it’s a perfect time to get out and enjoy Old Rag!
Take a break from studying this Saturday and come enjoy one of the best hikes in Virginia. Old Rag offers some gorgeous 360 degree views and it’s about a 2500 ft elevation gain. The hike is 8 miles round trip with a fair amount of rock scrambling. All in all the trip should take about 8 hours total, so we will be leaving from the brick wall by Echols at 8am and return to grounds around 4ish. The add/drop deadline is Thursday at 8pm so text me if you have to withdraw past the deadline.
DRIVERS NEEDED & will be reimbursed for gas (plus a 50% tip)! Everyone will be wait listed until we find someone with the good fortune of having a car.
Priority goes to drivers & national park pass holders!!!
important: DOES COST $5 for parking!!
what to bring:
– good hiking shoes
– Plenty of water
– sunscreen
– some snacks to last 5-6 hours
– camera
taking 8-10 people at max, priority for another driver and if you have a Shenandoah pass.
