Monday Sunset at Mary’s Rock !!!!

OVERVIEW

Let’s go on a Sunset Hike! For my first official trip co-lead me (Sam) and Haley are heading to Mary’s Rock after our monday classes to watch the Sunset. It’s a 3.8 mile round trip hike with ~1200 feet of elevation. We’ll be looking over the beautiful Shenandoah valley at sunset. This hike is fun and I think that anyone can do it. Preference off the waitlist will be given to anyone with a car.

Here’s the plan
Leave cville 2:30pm (please get there before 2:30pm so we can get on the road!)
Drive 1hr, get to trailhead around 4pm and start hiking
Hike, take breaks, eat snacks, enjoy the views and sunset, etc
Get back to trailhead latest 6:30pm (im budgeting in LOTS of extra time)
back to cville 8pm latest

What you bring:
-WATER (I’d recommend 1-2 nalgenes roughly)
-headlamp!!!!
-snacks and lunch
-sturdy hiking shoes
-weather-appropriate clothing (layers!)
What I bring:
-same as you
-first aid kit
