Moorman’s Bouldering

OVERVIEW

Hey Everybody!

Do you like to climb things?
Do you like going outside?
Does fun sound like something that you might be interested in?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you should join us adventurous folk on our way out to Moorman’s Boulders on the 16th!

Just a short drive from good ol UVA, this bouldering trip is ideal for a midweek break from classes.

The weather warm, the flowers are blooming, and the leaves are back on the trees (kinda). Spring is in the air and it’s time to get outdoors!

Logistics:
-Meet at the brick wall by Echols at 3:30 on Wednesday April 16th
-Head out to our destination about fifteen minutes away
-Become best friends with each other up on the boulders
-Climb till dark (sunset is around 8:00)

What to Bring:
-Climbing Shoes (available at gear room)
-Chalk Bag (not as essential, but also available at gear room)
-Water and Snacks
-Any single dolla bills if you want to make it rain on your driver

What Will Be Provided:
-Crash pads
-Some chalk for those that don’t have bags
-A bucket of fun

Final Notes:
-This trip is for those that have some experience with climbing (i.e. know how to spot, can safely negotiate problems, etc.), but is by no means an advanced trip.
-Since the drive is so short, reimbursements will not be provided by the club for gas.
-Drivers are responsible for getting money from those they transport, about a dollar per person.
-If you need climbing shoes, you should grab them either at gear room this Thursday or on the Tuesday before the trip
