North Fork Moormans River, Virginia, USA
A 4.4 mile hike (very easy, chill hike, elevation gain of around 480 feet) near some great creeks and falls. There should be a lot of wildlife, so Phillip and I were going to take a chunk of the hike to stop and look for salamanders, aquatic macroinvertebrates, etc. and teach you guys about some of the ecology of the area!
Itinerary:
12:00 pm: Meet in front of the bookstore and leave for the hike
12:45 pm: Arrive at the trailhead
12:45 am to 3:30ish: Spend some time hiking and exploring the area
4:10ish: Arrive back on grounds
Bring water and a snack if you feel like you’d get hungry! Also: bring shoes that you don’t mind getting wet!
