Moorman’s River/Riprap Loop Hike

OVERVIEW

This will be a 20mile warm-up hike for the 26mi marathon hike upcoming last weekend of April. We will start at the Sugar Hollow, follow the North Fork towards the Skyline Drive (multiple river crossings), head south on the AT, do the 8-mi Riprap trail along the way (waterfalls, swimming hole, spectacular views from Cavalry Rocks), and get back to Sugar Hollow via Turk Branch, passing the famous Blue Hole on the way
(pack your swimsuit!)

Bring water, lunch/snacks, headlamp/flashlight, sandals/crocs, and swimsuit.
Club provides gas money/seat in a car.
Drivers get off the waitlist first.
