Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Lets celebrate the spring daylight savings time change by pedaling the winter cobwebs out of our legs and lungs on the Ohill trails after work/class. Ohill has an excellent network of single track trails and is right in our backyard. We’ll meet at Echols, assign bikes/helmets, then pedal up to the trailhead and begin our ride. The pace will be easy (it takes a ride or 2 to get those cobwebs out), and the terrain will be intermediate, but sign up no matter your skill level. We will re-group at all intersections and ride for 1-2 hours. The club has 5 sweet Gary Fisher bikes, and 3 brand freakin’ new Iron Hoarses; all front suspension. I’m going to set the trip to 6 since I’m not sure of our helmet status, but will work on that before Thursday and up the trip list if appropriate. You are automatically in if you have your own bike and can get it to Echols.
The weather forecast is looking good for Thursday, but the trip may get canceled if it rains.
The Club provides mountain bikes and helmets.
You should come well hydrated and bring plenty of water (the bikes are equipped with water bottle cages that hold 20oz, and sometimes, 1L size spring water bottles or bike bottles; 1L Nalgenes will not fit), appropriate athletic attire (baggy pants tend to get eaten by the chain ring), and your bike, helmet, tools, and spare tubes if you have them.
