Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Blue Ridge School
Ever heard of Blue Ridge School? It’s my esteemed alma mater and just happens to have several miles of beautiful biking trails on the mountain just behind the school, some of which I helped build and maintain during my high school years. There are trails that are suitable for all levels of bikers, so sign up regardless of your skill on a bike!
The plan is to leave the Echols brick wall as close to 3:00 PM as possible. I’d love to leave earlier, but I have to work till 3:00. The drive to Blue Ridge takes about 40 minutes, so we’ll arrive by 4:00, We’ll shred the trails for about 2 hours before the sun goes down. Then we can all eat FREE DINNER in the dining hall at Blue Ridge (perk of being an alumni) around 6:30 and be back to Cville by 8:00 at the latest.
***Optional: There’s also a pretty fun bouldering cave that we could climb around on for a bit if people want to, or if you get tired of biking that is a definite option.
If you don’t have your own bike, you can check one out from the club. Do that on Thursday! If you can’t make Thursday gear room at 5:00, talk to me or one of the officers. You are responsible for making sure you have a functional bike to ride before we leave.
I’ll cap the trip at 8 people. I’m still trying to figure out how to transfer the bikes because I don’t have a bike rack. So if you happen to have a car with a bike rack, you should totally sign up! Everyone will be waitlisted until I figure out transportation of people and bikes.
You Bring:
Bike
Helmet
Waterbottle
See you Friday, my friends.
