Mountains, Woods, and CAMPING oh my!

OVERVIEW

OMG the stars have aligned!
I finally have a free weekend, Spring has sprung, and I have a brand new (to me) REI tent that I got from resupply for an incredible steal! All that and my deep yearning for the great outdoors has led to this fantastic trip. Join Hannah and I as we skip our way to the hills of West Virginia for a night under the stars (eclipse sadly not included). Then Sunday as we make our back to school👎🏼 we will be stopping at the beautiful Saint Marys Wilderness which is a great spot to spend the day.

Here is a general outline for the trip:
Saturday
12pm leave Charlottesville
2pm get to camp site: I booked a spot through Hipcamp in Lewisville on a farm. It looks awesome and we will have the evening to explore it!

Sunday
9am leave camp
10:30am arrive at Marys Wilderness: river side hike+swimming holes+lunch= I might cry from happiness
1pm leave for Charlottesville
3pmish back to school and that spring semester grind

What to pack?
I have the tent, cooking gear, and most stuff like that taken care of but you will need:
– Sleep system (sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow)
It will be in the low 50s at night so a 30+ degree bag should be fine
– hiking and camping clothes (good shoes, an extra warm layer for sleep time, the less cotton clothing the better and all that good stuff)
– swimsuit for Marys Wilderness but it will be slightly chilly so swimming will be a game time decision (bring one just incase)
– towel
– other hiking gear (water bottle and backpack)
– headlamp or flashlight
– any other personal items
– hammock?
– book?
-camp chair?
– basically any other fun items you want

We will stop to shop for food on the way to West Virginia so that will add to the cost. Feel free to bring any other personal snacks that you want though!
