Corner Of Echols Dorm
Also Corner of Echols Dorm
Morven, Morven Drive, Charlottesville, VA, USA
I volunteered at Morven Garden a couple weeks ago and had such a good time being outside and learning about UVA’s sustainable agriculture (it was actually so peaceful to volunteer there), and this weekend they are offering an opportunity to learn to cultivate and inoculate sustainably harvested hardwood logs with Shiitake mushrooms!! Morven is so beautiful and it’s a great way to get outside and also be giving back to the community. This is a beginner friendly trip and we will be learning as much as you !!! Bring water/snacks and whatever clothes are appropriate for the weather/you are comfortable gardening in, as we will be working outside.
PLAN!!
9:30 am – leave from corner of echols
10-12- Volunteer! Mushrooming (but not the drug kind)!!
12:30- get back
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST ALSO SIGN UP AT THIS LINK AND FILL OUT THE WAIVER!

** We will need another driver so drivers get priority off the waitlist, and this trip is like 15 minutes away so no reimbursement (except with this wonderful awesome mushrooming experience)
