Have you ever wanted to go down a natural waterfall or visit the Shenandoah National Park? Maybe you just need to touch some grass and escape Charlottesville for the day. Well, we will be doing both of these things this Friday at the Cedar Creek Falls of White Oak Canyon of the Shenandoah National Park.
We will be leaving from the Echols Dorm corner at 9:00 am and driving north to the White Oak Canyon Lower Trailhead. We will arrive around 10:30 am and hike/swim to our heart’s content. It is about a 3 mile out and back. At the latest, we will start hiking back at 2:00 pm as we both need to be home by 4:30 pm.
You should bring:
– Lunch!!
– Snacks (optional)
– Water (about 2 liters)
– day pack
– Towel if you wish
– clothes to get wet (no skinny dipping here 😉)
– any important medical/personal items
We will be bringing:
– med kit
– sun screen
– bug spray
– our own personal items
