New Moon Stargazing

OVERVIEW

The new moon is this weekend; aka bookoo stars. Want to procrastinate on that homework you are starting Sunday evening just a little bit longer?? Then come out to Blackrock Summit for a sky full of stars and good times!

It’s a short walk to the summit, where the gazing will commence. The drive is about an hour to the summit, I estimate we’ll stargaze for about an hour, but we can feel it out depending on cloud coverage and such.

What to bring:

-headlamp/flashlight
-warm clothes
-more warm clothes [don’t let the summer weather trick you; it’ll be windy and chilly!!] -sleeping bag [if you want to get extra cozy] -water/hot drinks
-snacks/dinner
-your knowledge of constellations
